Homework
Homework should take students approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you are taking longer than 30 minutes, it is usually because you are not fully understanding a concept.
Sometimes, there is time in class to begin homework. Please use every minute in class, and DO NOT pack up to wait for the bell to ring.

HELPS
Helps classes are offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15 - 4:00PM.
Weekly Review Quiz
Each Tuesday, students will be given a quick 5-minute quiz that quizzes them on old material. The quizzes include rules that should be memorized as well as short problems to work from prior lessons. The content on these quizzes are not announced in advance, but I give strong hints in class about which notes are important and which problems should be reviewed.
About Mrs. Bryan
The 2011-2012 school year is my third year teaching secondary math (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Calculus) at Hamilton Christian Academy. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Arts in Teaching with McNeese State University. I have tutored secondary math for over 20 years on an individual basis at the high school, college, and ACT prep levels.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from LSU in Information Systems & Decision Sciences, which allowed me to design and program computer applications for various businesses around the country. Working initially with a consulting firm, my work experience varies from understanding oil and gas production and refining to copper and gold mining, real estate to dentist offices. Due to my extensive math background and my work experience, I see how math is used in the workplace and in everyday things, such as filling up the gas tank in the car, flight patterns for airplanes, and supply & demand in the business world. I try to bring in everyday situations, such as sports, into the classroom to help students fully understand the material and understand ways in which the material may be used.
